Settlement "Ming Urik"

Settlement "Ming Urik"
Ancient city of Ming Urik was the capital of the powerful Chacha. Now the ancient city of little left - the bulk of buildings hidden in the seams under the modern buildings in Tashkent. But the achievements of modern archeology allow to recreate the image of the city, whose name is mentioned in Arabic chronicles as Madinat al-Shash. The heyday of this city came in the VII-VIII century AD.

Chronicles of Arab historians tell us about the lush palace - the residence of the ruler Chach. Persian poet Ferdowsi even extolled the beauty of this palace in his poems. Palace included and fire temple, where

the sacred fire was maintained for centuries efforts of Zoroastrian priests. The city flourished until the X century, when the Arabs came here with the conquest. Islam has replaced Zoroastrianism, and the next era has sunk into oblivion.
Shash-Tepa turned Chach, and then the name of the city was transformed into Harashkent. These form the foundation of the ancient city of Tashkent, who recently celebrated his 2,200 th anniversary.

The complex of Ming Urik was elevated population, spiritual culture is determined by fire and sun worship. He apparently lasted until the IV. BC and points to the fact that the territory of modern Tashkent in ancient times was part of the area's largest religious center of the state Kangyuy. Starting urbanization in Tashkent can be traced in the written Chinese sources from the end of the II. BC Chronicle of older homes Han "Shiji" reports about the area and the city of Uyuni in the State of Kangyuy whose kernel in science is to place in the Tashkent oasis.

Older Chinese sources describe the area and the city of Chi that inherit Uni. As can be seen from sources Shi after the collapse of the state Kangyuy into small domains in III-IV in the beginning. BC turned into a small independent state. According to archeology, the ancient capital of that ownership was located on a huge Kanka 70 km south of Tashkent. Within the future Tashkent at the same time there were a number of urban settlements, as shown above.
